In recent years the term "biohacking" has taken hold in the community of people looking for unique ways to improve the way their bodies work. Taking a sort of N=1 approach to research, these individuals do everything from sticking electrodes to their brain, to taking relatively obscure research chemicals, or injecting themselves with novel substances designed to improve everything from their mental prowess to strength and conditioning. Tim Ferris may be the most well known biohacker out there, but others like Ben Greenfield for example serve as luminaries in this area.
